Grid Rot
Grid Rot (2022) is a two-person exhibition featuring the work of Andy Jacobs and Meagan Marsh Pine at The Pink Slip Gallery. The work in this show both contemplates and complicates societal and personal relationships to the environment. Both artists use natural materials such as wool, wood, soil and seeds to explore themes of ecology in relation to the anthropocene. 85 Sq. Ft. Landscape, uses 12 sq. ft. pixels to draw upon and respond to the architecture of the gallery. When entering, viewers are confronted with its grid-like structure that is made up of dirt, sand and mulch as it weaves its way through the space, guiding the viewer’s path.
